Our About
Little Steps School is an integral part of the Ashok Hall Group of Schools. It is an English Medium co-educational school located at Keso Kunj, Premises number S1 at 42, Garden Reach, Kolkata. The school has classes from Pre Nursery to Upper Infant and Classes I to VIII and proposed ICSE (Class X) & ISC (Class XII).
Little Step School works towards imparting all round education to the students and specially focuses on inculcating in them the principles of a humble and noble individual. The primary goal of the school is to encourage the students to pursue excellence in academics as well as to develop skills that will help empower them to brave global challenges. We believe in following a child-centric method of education and specially focusing on individual potential. The school believes in guiding the students to grow up into versatile individuals and gain opportunity to grow, prosper and recognize their potential.

Special Features
Summer School Programme
A summer school programme has been designed to offer a variety of structured activities to students enabling them to learn new skills. Children are encouraged to participate in various activities such as Story-telling, Role Play, Drama, Art & Craft, Creative Writing and English communication. We, at little steps school, work towards bringing the best out of each child.

ACADEMICS
Academic Session
The Academic session begins in April and ends in March. The session is divided into two terms and comprises two vacations and one break.
Summer Vacation : 5 weeks (May – June)
Puja/ Diwali Vacation : 4 weeks (October – November)
Winter Break : 7 days (December – January)
Curriculum
The school follows a broad and balanced curriculum which focuses on the key skills of literacy and numeracy. The curriculum for the Nursery and KG classes are based on the foundations that are laid for all future learning as the children move forward to explore and appreciate the world through a combination of set activities and free play. As the children progresses through school and grow in confidence, little steps school pay increasing attention towards imparting the academic skills to the students. A team of dedicated teachers work towards grooming the pupils to experience fresh challenges that would foster independent learning.
Along with classroom knowledge, we also focus on providing children with knowledge that our mother nature provides us. That includes excursions and visits to different nature friendly places. Last year our students visited the alipore zoo along with few of our teachers for an outdoor picnic. We also arranged a trip to see the INS Airawat at Khiderpore Dock on the Indian Navy day for their celebration. The artworks done by the students are also exhibited in the school every single year which are always open to visit for the parents as well. Few students of Little Steps School also spent the morning enjoying aspects of Nature and producing paintings, photographs, drawings, craftwork and poetry.
Co-curricular Activities
Little step school believes that co-curricular activities are at par with education for a student’s all-round development. These co-curricular activities help to infuse some of the facets such as creativity, energetic, enthusiasm and positive thinking into a student’s personality. The school offers a wide range of co-curricular activities and all the children are encouraged to participate.
